I've heard nothing but good about athlon Midas tac, so I must have a fluke can't get any consistent hits. Can't zero when it won't hit twice in the same spot tried it on 2 rifles same results thought I'd ask advice before calling athlon. Any input is appreciated thanks

Can be a LOT of things besides the scope. Have you mounted a different scope on these rifles? Are you using a torque wrench to tighten all the screws?

Having gone through things like this, I find it good to take a deep breath and look at everything with a jaundiced eye. Unless you can find something throwing it off that you may have missed (like the objective touching the barrel) then contacting Athlon is probably the next step.

Post up what you find, it's always good to learn from other people's issues.

There's always a chance you got a bad one. First, check the Pic rail screws as well, the mounting screws between the rings and the Pic rail and the ring cap screws.
At one time or another, I've had all of those loosen on me. Hell, I've had the action screws come loose.
The midas series are solid scopes, but they are mechanical devices after all and sometimes fail.
Athlon will take care of it, if it is a scope issue.
I get it, it still sucks.

Well thanks to all who responded to the thread but I'm going to try some things before I cry rape. Start with rifle I know is dead on accurate, make sure of my mounting, try to zero at 50 yds try lower magnification then I'll let you know what happens thanks again

Well I mounted it on my model 93 wmr with new rings that I lapped, wanted to upgrade my rimfire scope anyway and I think it worked here is 5 round groups @ 50 yards I'll try farther out later
