Mifflin Co Sportsmen will be hosting a 3-Gun match Mar. 29, 2014. This will be a 3-gun for riflemen, as there are targets out to 500 yds., that is why I am posting on Snipers Hide. Pistol will be typical action pistol type shooting, mostly fast and close. Shotgun is likely to include a number of interesting flying bird targets as we have a pretty nice 5-stand range. I do not want to have the shotgun be all easy shots at static targets with lots of re-loading deciding it, but rather a real shot gun shooting challenge, with reloading being only one aspect of the shotgun skill set. Rifle is pretty much mixed between one long range stage and two others with 100+ yd targets. So knowing your holdovers will be required, this is not rifles in a pistol pit.
For those of you who have not seen it yet Mifflin Co spent a lot of time and money redoing our long range facilities and this match will help defray those expenses, plus introduce shooters to one of the better ranges in the East. We are limiting the registration to 50 shooters as we don't want to spend a lot of time standing around. Registration will be open in about 1 wk, watch the website:
