Can somebody explain to me how the Millett rings can be used for windage adjustment without kinking the scope tube?
They don't rotate, so unless they are in perfect alignment with each other they will kink the scope (more or less, depending on the degree of misalignment), and in order to get windage adjustment one of the rings has to be out of line with the other.
I see them mentioned as a fix for misaligned receiver holes, and it looks like intentionally misaligning the rings enough to correct that problem would create another one.
I'm not an engineer, or a geometry teacher, so maybe somebody can explain this to me.
