My 16 year old son, known as Mini Sam to many of you, continues to surprise.
He was hunting a beanfield on our farm that was difficult to approach, found a hide ~325 yards back from where the deer feed at night, set up prone w his 7mm Mag close by.
I came to pick him up w about 20-30 minutes of light left, could see a ton of deer on the field, watched him watching them, got a business call, was talking away and BOOM.
Tracked the buck for ~300 yards, good blood trail, was kinda surprised it had gone that far, got to a place where I thought it wise to cease and come back in the morning, knowing it was below freezing.
Mini sadly went to school waiting for a text from me, I went to where I thought he might be, walked about 3 steps and there he was. Pushing 200 lbs live weight. Nice work Mini. His 9th buck.

<span style="font-weight: bold">This week we found out he made all county at tight end as a junior, all he needs to round things out is a girlfriend!!</span>
