I only have access to a 100 yard range.

Is using mini paper silhouettes a good method for training for distance?

I’m shootings offhand with a .22 lr.

Started with 8”x11” trying to work down to getting all my shots on a 2”x3” paper.

I can’t shoot steel at my local range.

Is there a better method for improving offhand shooting?

Nothing can simulate distance. Load variations and more so wind hasn’t had the time to work on the bullet yet. Flight time is what is needed.

Rules of Specificity state to get better at an action, train that action. In your case shoot often off handed and you will get better at off hand shooting. Shooting at smaller targets as you get better would keep it interesting. Sounds like you have a game plan already.
