Minumum barrel profile for .338 Norma

I'm still kicking around the idea of a .338 Norma hunting rifle. What does the Hide think of as a minimum profile barrel for a 338 Norma? Probably around the 26-27" mark on barrel length. Trying to get a lighter rig without going a carbon barrel. Thanks

I have a 26” proof sendero barrel I would make you a deal on. My plan was to build something light to shoot elk but plans have changed.

I would say #4 contour,this will also depend on your action as most dedicated 338 lap/Norma actions require a 1.3-1.35” diameter barrel.
Don’t be afraid to go shorter on the barrel I built mine at 23” and it still performed great,vv570 was the ticket.
