I was wondering if anyone knows if the MIRS rail would fit on the GAP M40A1 clone I have one, it would be a place holder more than likely until I get the more original base and rings.

It should fit, if you have one of the short action Rev C MIRS rails. The long action MIRS obviously won't fit your receiver.
Great! I was thinking it would I actually have both the short action and the REV B got lucky and snagged them both a few months ago.

Should not be a problem. Should look awesome. Finding the MIRS is usually the problem.
