The Tactical Analisis Group (TAG) will be holding a Spring & Fall Marksman Observer Course at The Big Piney Sportsman's Club in South Central Missouri again in 2011.
Spring Class: 25 - 29 May 2011
Fall: 12 - 16 October 2011
Cost: $300
Ammunition Required: 300 Rounds Minimum Precision Rifle,
Handgun & Carbine Ammunition Required: 50 handgun, 30 Carbine
This is a Missouri POST approved course, with a Control Number. It covers all required training hours for your 3 year training cycle except Racial Profiling.
I would rate this class as an LE Sniper 1.5. It covers more ground than a normal Basic LE M/O Course, but not everything covered in a LE M/O Advanced Class.
Most of the rounds expended in the class will be at 100 and 200 yards. Some shooting will be at closer range than 100 yards. The last day of class you will shoot from 100 to 800 yards.
You normally get to build an Urban Hide, and do a stalk and observe exercise during the class. You will learn what happens after the shot. Both legal and emotional from someone who has been their and done that.
Our main instructor keeps his training current. He has been through the FBI Sniper Instructor Class atleast 2 times. He is an NRA Certified Instructor both LE & Civilian in Handgun, Shotgun, and Sniper Rifle. He is a US Army Spec-Ops Certified Instructor. He is a veteran of both the US Air Force and US Army. He has 20 years LE experiance in Special Operations. He is a Missouri Class A Certified Instructor. Missouri Generalist Instructor with Firearms, Scoped Rifle, and Use of Force.
Contact me for further information on the class. Motel/Restaurant List, etc.
