Re: Mk12

That's a sweet lookin' setup. I would be doing something similar, but unfortunately, I'm in NY and can't have such an "evil" rifle with all those nefarious attributes.

That's one of the reasons I got the heck out of that place. That and the sick income taxes they make you pay. Not a bad place to visit once in a long long while, but a very oppressive place to live in.

Sweet rifle btw. What kind of QD rings are those?

Haha, I hear you man.
The SOPMOD stock does fit rather nicely and has an excellent cheek weld for use with magnified optics.

Thanks, they are ARMS #22 high rings.
They quickly got replaced by the Larue LT-139 SPR-E mount.

The Leupold MR/T 3-9x36 with illuminated mil-dot is a very nice scope. Clean glass and the illumination helped in low light or when shooting against a black background.
It is pretty compact and is very durable.

It was however replaced with a Nightforce 2.5-10x24

I did sell the Leupy back in the fall, so unfortunately it's gone.

What can?

I'm finally getting my AR dialed in the way I want it but a can is calling to me. </div></div>

It's an 18" SPR barrel. The can is an Ops Inc 12th model.

This was a Mk12 Mod 1 clone, which is why I used the 18" SPR barrel and Ops 12th model.

I might be looking to sell the can actually...

Is there a particular reason you are thinking about selling the can? I ask because i am waiting on BATFE for my 12th model right now.

Thanks.

Only because I don't have that rifle anymore, or another rifle with the Ops Inc brake and collar required for the can.

The Ops 12th model is a great suppressor. Very durable and pretty much zero POI shift. It is usable without hearing protection and I would definitely recommend the Ops Inc cans to anybody.

I am hesitant to sell it because it's such a great can and I may have a use for it down the road. This is why I said I *might* be looking to sell it.

No problem. You definitely won't be disappointed with it.

What setup is your Ops 12th going on, a Mk12 clone?

Yes, a MK12 Mod 1 clone. I'm using a LMT complete lower with SOPMOD stock, Gieselle SSA trigger, Centurion Arms MK12 Mod 1 complete upper (ordered but i don't have it yet), and then the 12th model which i'm still waiting on as well. I still need to buy the optics. I'm going to go with a larue mount and Nightforce 2.5-10x32 mil-dot/mrad,

I'm more excited for this rifle then any I've ever bought before. It will probably be May or June before i have it together, unless BATFE is quicker then i expect.

Awesome!! Everything you listed is definitely top notch. Can't really get much closer to a Mk12 Mod 1 clone using the Centurion upper. I know you can get Colt 6920 lowers from Specialized Armament, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with LMT.

The SSA trigger is unbelievably crisp too. I currently have a NF 2.5-10x24 in an LT mount as well. Sounds like a sweet build man. Get some pics up when it's done!

Do it! It will compliment your Mk18 nicely

(I'm on M4C as well, different user name)

Let me know if you're interested in the Ops 12th model too.
It would be easy since we're in the same state.

Re: Mk12

Beautiful rifle. How did she shoot? Can't wait for my MK 12 mod 0 clone to get done. Unfortunately, I've still got a long way to go. Optics are going to be the most costly part at the moment.

Accuracy was amazing. Right at ~1 MOA. Optics are definitely a bitch when putting together a build. Are you using a NF or Leupy?

Re: Mk12

Are you going to run it at the Magpul class in Pueblo in June? That would be sick!

Actually that is where most of my funds are going right now. I have a .308 SPS tactical that is getting a NF 3.5-15x50 and a Manners stock for the class. Kind of limiting my MK12 budget.

Is there a precision Magpul class I am unaware of???

I'm aware of the handgun class in June and may be attending, but your post about running the Mk12 at the class has me confused

Will be running a Leupy Mark 4 3.5-10 x 40 M3 ill mil-dot on mine, when I can afford the scope. Still trying to put the rest of the rifle together first. So much on my wish-list, so little money

Definitely. I am always tempted to add some FDE to my rifles but I somehow always settle with black. Too clean.
