Well LRI came through as usual.
Specs:

- Original MK13 MOD 0 return stock
- Original MIRS rail
- Original bipod
- Original action and lug screws
- Original rubber band, it's for sale!
- Bartlein barrel... What can I say they shoot!
- Finished at 27"
- Threaded 5/8 x 24 with sneak thread protector
- Jewel trigger.. yea I know not spec!
- Here is the best part... Chambered in 6.5x55 Swede

I have an original bolt as well. So there is still hope the next barrel might be a win mag.

Here are a couple of quick pics. I will post more once I get a scope mounted and some range time.

AJ Brown.. former Crane gunsmith and also worked at High Caliber Sales right? Going all OG with .300 WM and a Lilja tapered for a Mk 11 suppressor or changing it up?

Load development is complete for now. I will fly some to 1065 yards this week and see how it does at distance. I have a NXS 5.5X22 that is waiting on the correct rings for the MIRS rail. Once they show up off goes the USO and on goes the NXS. Seems like a shooter. Settled on 140 RDFs, .030 jump, 46gr of H4831SC, Lapua brass, wolf primer.

My buddies SF version of the 700/300 was threaded with a blended cap. He never used a can with it so he couldn't tell me what they used or what was available. Maybe nothing. His unit went from the 700/300 to the mod2, which he hated. (He builds and prefers WW2 iron and steel so....)

6.5 Swede with a modern chamber and reloading supplied is almost like cheating :) Lapua brass is cheap too. 95% of a Fagmag at 2/3 the cost. What's not to love?

funny you mention the rings. This is one of the reasons I went 700/300 instead of mod0. I HATE craning my neck up, even with an adjustable cheek piece. I guess this would force me to get the butt in my shoulder pocket as a low mount scope let's me be lazy and even with a can the 230gr OTM hurts on the colar bone. That's a mistake yout only mare a couple times in a session ;)

Here's a few pics of my build:

blue tape is covering the bedding for the L- shaped lug. I made a couple changes that are easy to roll back to original. Namely the 40moa rail and I went with a chromoly barrel so we could parkerize it with the rest of the metal. Floorlate is a PTG instead of Remington. It's a higher quality piece. Threaded the cap based on feedback from end users. I didn't use the mk13 trigger on this, tried it but we think with a tuned 40x instread and moved the trigger to the mod7. 20170511_082813.jpg

USMCSGT0331, just curious, but were you relieved of all the Mod 0 stocks you had posted? Have been reading through the various threads and recall a few on eBay and what not, and just wanted to know. There was a reddish tiger stripe that really caught my eye in a photo or two.

More than likely wayyyy out of my price range at the moment, but man, what history with these things. I seriously doubt they come up all that often, and after reading up, Mod 0 is the only way to go compared to the 5 / 7 in my book.

I still have stocks left, shoot me a PM if you're interested and I can get you set up with a nice one. However, the reddish tiger stripe stock is on hold for someone right now.

I have both. I have 450-500 rounds down my mod0 (700/300) and exactly 20 rounds down my mod7. No question which one I prefer. Sometimes the military just has to fix shit until it's broke :)

Not looking for another stock... but sure want to get one of those original ICC cases....

Just loaded up 350 rounds of .300 Win Mag in Hornady cases. Ready for fireforming to chamber w. 220gr. HPBTM Sierra's.

As soon as my rifle gets back from The Master in Indiana.

Again... one of you guys has got an original NAVSPECWAR aluminum case for me. Really. One of you does. Oh and one for BuffaloWinter, too. We both need one.

Not too long ago some of those cases were on GOVliquidation. I think there was one "Lot" available and 5-6 cases in the lot. I wasn't made aware of it until the auction ended but someone paid 1,000.00 for them. So they are out there. I would seriously hound GL and some of the other government service auction sites. I am sure some more will pop up.
