rifle: FN SPR 20"
mount/base: factory 1 piece (near mfg)
scope: Leupold Mk4 4.5-14x50

Anyone know if Leupold Mk4 medium steel rings will provide enough clearance (with butler creek caps) between barrel and objective? Didn't find any definitive info doing a hide google search. Nothing on the leupold website mount "guide" for FN rifles.

Well, it's about as close as it gets, but they worked.... and position the scope to my liking with this particular stock.
