this is a push feed style sa varmint rifle, it has a timney trigger in it. the problem is it appears that the cocking piece/firing pin is
riding over the sear when you open the bolt in the cocked position (as if you where extracting a live round)and the firing pin drops.
after this happens i have to pull the trigger to get the bolt to open or it drags across the sear real bad. if i put pressure
on top of the bolt shroud and open it,it doesn't do it. tightened the trigger up to a heavier weight and no difference.
the fit of the bolt to the fringing pin assembly seems pretty sloppy. not sure when this problem started but noticed it today
when was checking the brass for function.it don't seem to matter if there is a round in it or not.
