Model 70 Winchester Parts

Anyone know of a dealer or an individual the I can purchase Winchester Model 70 parts from? Specifically, I'm looking for a post '64 long action receiver. I'd buy the whole action if I had to! MGW says the product is discontinued and 'sold out'.

In lieu of that, I hear tell that FN manufactured Model 70 actions for a while. Should I shop for one of those?

Shop for a cheap used rifle, i just bought a 1975 243 model 70 for $300. I bought it for the action, getting turned into a 35 whelen.

I dont believe they ever sold just the action, what you see at Midwest was leftover parts when the New Haven plant closed.

How did your whelen turn out?? I am starting a .338 06 off a 270 70 action that was in a fire.
