Hunting & Fishing Montana Antelope and Waterfowl

Had a phenomenal hunt in Montana two weeks ago. Roamed around the greater Bozeman area looking for antelope with the bow, and hit up waterfowl opener Saturday morning. Hunted hard and stalked as close as 100 yards on 6 different set ups. Never quite came to be for a variety of reasons, but such a great time regardless.

65 and sunny the first day gave way to low 30’s and windy, stunning snow for the weekend. Such pretty country, I’m lucky to have had the chance to make it out.

My friend had tags for mule deer and whitetail, and put a great walk on a nice mulie doe. Fun to watch and we didn’t come home empty handed.

Duck hunting was great, shot a few in the morning, then found some others in streams and in other waterways through the day.

What a stunning place. Can’t wait to come back. Switching gears this week, prepping for pheasant opener in Aberdeen on Saturday. Then back to MN to start whitetail hunting in earnest.
