I know it is going to be hot as shit in this thing, but what can I do to make it as cool as possible. I have some mesh that I put on the back, I was wondering if there are other areas to put mesh to keep cool.
I'd suggest going easy on the burlap as well as adding mesh. It seems a lot of first time ghillie makers really pile on the jute to an excessive level.
I made my first ghillie suit when I was 14 lol I tied the Burlap on 4 strands at a time then tied the middle of each strand to another point on the Willie suit lol as you can imagine it took me a long time to complete (about 2 weeks 2 hours a day Lmao I wish I had some advice back then maybe I wouldn't have wasted so much time and effort
I have another question that I will add on to this. How much jute do you put per square. I have been using 3 to 4 strands spaced every other square. I have 1 inch netting.

for that reason, you don't want to put jute, burlap, etc. on every square inch. leave a few cavities in it so you can add local vegetation or "seasonal clutter". even patches of poly fill in winter for snow.
greenish gillies suck in fall, and brownish gillies suck in summer
