so. i've narrowed my cartridge selection to the wsm. What is the most cost effective way of achieving a mag fed rifle to shoot 200+ grains ~3.1" coal? i know i could get a cheap, used savage to rebarrel and throw in a chassis. i've been considering a tikka but the mag issue is a problem. i won't use a factory 700 action but perhaps a blueprinted one. i am trying to keep action/barrel/chassis under 1500. i know that's asking for some thriftiness but i've accomplished similar goals before. problem is this time i know practically nothing about 300 wsm or shooting past 1600.
