Looking for a .338(lapua mag) bullet that will turn some yotes inside out. Have been looking at the Barnes triple shock 225gr and some others. Maybe a 225gr Hornady SST. They'll be going through a 1/10 twist bbl so i can't run too light.

I tried searching and looking in the reloading depot to no avail.

I know, i just thought I'd do it for fun a couple times. Might use for some long range whitetail too.

I've never tried them on coyotes but 300 gr. scenars do excessive damage on deer. Shot two does in the head and one buck in the vitals last deer season with them. The does dropped instantly, obviously. The buck made it about 15 yards into a draw and had about a 3" hole where the bullet exited.

I would think a 200 grain Hornady SP, 200 grain Sierra SP, or Speer 200 grain SP spitzer would do the trick. You would want to stay away from any bonded or solid bullets. You need fragmentation, and the lead bullets would be your best bet. I would try Retumbo at about 3200 fps, and that should do it!

If you want to slpatter them then you need something explosive. See if you can find some 180 grain Nosler ballistic Tips or some light for caliber Bergers
