Im looking to mount both a rangefinder and spotting scope on a single tripod. I have Sig Kilo 3000BDX and going to purchase either Bushnell SX-4 or NF TS-80. What's the best attachment type? Thanks guru's!

There is another thread on this somewhere but I use this. I like it a lot.

I don't think the first link will work. Max weight on ball heads are 2.2lbs. Spotting scope is at least 5 lbs.

The second is the clamp for the Kestrel. I plan on using the Kestrel separately, on a Kestrel tripod using the vane mount.

CL-50C or DM-55? I don't know the advantages/disadvantages of either.

Mine are all mounts from amazon that are 1/4-20 thread. The clamping piece the kestrel is in is the Kestrel Clamp. The Binos are in a Field Optic Research ARCA Mount.

The first one is 1/4-20 threaded dog bones that my Range Finder is screwed into & the kestrel clamps are screwed into to to hold kestrel & phone.

The last one is an Arc mount that most spotting scopes will slide into to or in my case my binocular mount.

I was just giving you the links to my setup.

Thanks for the Intel!

Look on Amazon for a Nodal Rail. Get one with an area clamp on one end. Spotter can sit in there and then a micro ball head for the range finder on the other end. Very cost effective and works great.

I too have the MUB and it works perfectly fine for exactly what the OP is looking for

To get me through this NRL22 and 22x season, I just grabbed a 300mm arca rail from Amazon. Depending on what is on the rail (Bino or spotter and LRF), sliding the rail to balance on the Anvil 30 head has been easy and not cumbersome at all to use. I will probably pick up a MUB when they are back in stock, but that's only because I am a gear hound.

That's what I've been looking at. I'm just having to figure out how to mount that rail in my quick release plate.
You should be able to bolt a plate to the bottom. There numerous interface options.

I won't have the tripod until Monday when it arrives. I think it's a 1/4 screw. That would make it off center if I use that rail cause the center hole it's 3/8?
There are threaded inserts for all the common camera sizes. Can get a variety pack on amazon for less than $10.

I use a Manfroto pistol grip knock off under mine, in addition to the 1/4-20 center screw there were 3 smaller threaded holes for set screws to act as anti rotation on the adapter plate. The one rail pictured a few posts above has 4x 1/4-20 threaded holes surrounding the larger center hole that can be used for the same purpose.

"Cinema rail" is also the other common term for these type of rails.

doesn’t matter if it’s off center. You can also get a cheep ball head mount for the tripod with an arca clamp. Plenty of good and inexpensive options.

Didn't see anything that even resembles that on Kestrel.
