MPA BA Comp Chassis Night Vision Bridge

Hey Guys: Does the night vision bridge on the MPA BA Comp Chassis serve any purpose if I am not running night vision equipment? Does it add any rigidity to the front of the chassis?

If not, I may remove it as I like the more streamlined look of the front end without it.

I don’t think so, but I know some guys like to rest their support hand on it.

I tried using the Night Vision Bridge for support this weekend and found that my hand interfered with the scope's FOV. My scope clearance is pretty tight to the barrel. I am also more comfortable using the scope for this kind of support.

So, I pulled the bridge and filled the holes with set screws. I think it looks pretty good.

I don't see how this will impact the performance of the rifle unless others have had a different experience?
