Looking for a chassis and have narrowed it down to these two MPAs (currently shooting an MDT LSS-XL which will be relegated to hunting). Will be used for target shooting, PRS, and maybe a run/gun/nav competition.

With the hybrid out, what is the draw to the comp? Hybrid plus weights seems to be pretty close to the Comp in price, so why not have the flexibility? I've never tried the magwell cut - is that plus the spigot worth losing the ability to shed a pound or two?

Ended up going with the Comp. Figured I was going to pick up a spigot anyway and would probably want the added weight 9 times out of 10. Worst case is that the comp might have a little higher resale. Convinced myself that if I wanted to go light, then its a good excuse to go light all the way around and not try to be half pregnant.

I did the hybrid with the added weight because I’m a lefty that’s a huge plus for me being that left handed stuff is a little tougher to resell should I want to down the road I really like being able to move the weight around and get my rifle to balance right where I want it but you can add weight to the comp chassis as well so that’s really not a negative for the comp either I will say that the week I got the hybrid I called mpa to see if I could buy a rear section with the comp thumbweels im not particularly happy with the set screw setup on the cheek piece and lop but it’s not a deal breaker I would still get the hybrid again if It were between a lefty comp chassis and the hybrid
