It seems like whatever that section just behind of the trigger on the right side would be in the way, especially if you had smaller hands. Is it removable or is it not as obtrusive as it appears?

Hi there,
If im correct, i think you are refering to the "finger bump" on the grip. The idea behind it is to take up some of the "slack" in the trigger finger by increasing the reach, allowing for the pad of the finger to index on the trigger rather than having the trigger finger go too far in.
Im horrible at explaining things but thats the best I can do for now lol.
I have small hands and I didnt find the EVG too obtrusive. You cant take the finger bump off of the EVG, but on chassis you can use a completely different grip if you dont like the EVG. I replaced mine with an Ergo Tactical Deluxe and am much happier. Also, I wouldnt use the EVG if you like to wrap your thumb around the pistol grip. Its mostly there for those who "float" their thumb.
