Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the MPA PMR Pro? Accuracy and such? I am wanting to get something a little nicer and just something new altogether. I have been looking up prices on stuff to attempt to build a custom gun and would be way more it seems than the MPA. It will probably be in 6mm or 6.5 creedmoor. Thank you.

Can’r speak for the ARC action they are now using ,but the much maligned on this sight Curtis actioned MPA rifles have been exceptionally accurate. However, at 3000 bucks, you should be able to build a rifle, maybe not with an MPA or MDT chassis though.

I don’t shoot many groups on paper but when testing mine when it was new, it often shot sub 0.3 and easily at the 1/3 inch level. I have plenty of pictures but as I said, once I get a decent load going, I don’t waste time punching holes in paper with 15 cent primers, 70 cent bullets and 59 cents worth of powder. A hole puncher can do the job much easier.

With a discount you'd be hard pressed to put a rifle of the same quality together as what MPA is offering at the price. A second vote of confidence in the Curtis actions they used prior to the ARC and you will see those pop up on here or other forums fairly often at a pretty cheap price. If you are sticking to the calibers you mentioned id shop around for the MPA's if you're looking for something else caliber wise may be easier to go custom.
Just my .02 good luck with the search.

Were there problems with the Curtis actions? They changed to ARC coupe De grace action from what I’ve read. Was the change just to cut cost?

Yes they changed from the Curtis Scout/Axiom to the ARC CDG, I don't have any knowledge as to why other than forum speculation so I'll leave it alone. Both are great choices and you would be happy running either of them from the feedback I've had on both, as well as personal experience.
I'm sticking to Curtis as it would be hard to switch away from all the gear and barrels I already have for the platform and because I've had very few issues with the actions.

MPA factory production rifles are a great deal. I live in Georgia so I see a number of the MPA rifles at PRS events and have multiple friends using them. Need to decide which chassis you want as they are available with multiple MPA chassis options. I would get the new CDG based action version. Change had nothing to do with cost.
