Mpa production class gun experience?

Then I started looking at their production rifle in their lite chassis. Trues and lapped 700 action, #7 Bergara barrel, trigger tech trigger, muzzle brake etc. for two grand it seems like a killer deal really. I am just wondering if anyone has any experience with their pcr rifles? I plan on having them build it on a hybrid chassis instead of the lite so it would cost me about $2100 but I don’t plan to compete in pc, just hunt and recreational shooting.

haven't seen much about it compared to the hancock, which, i think has better stuff all around. Nucleus action. PVA Rock Creek barrel. trigger is a wash and preference. same with chassis. but for what it is and if you prefer the MPA hybrid, there probably isn't much wrong with your choice either

Yeah I looked at the Hancock and it’s a nice rifle. Call me vain but the Hancock rifle is ugly to me and the mpa hybrid folding chassis seems more to my liking for hunting/backpacking.

you're not the only one who thinks that about the bravo chassis. i'm sure Josh would agree with the number or barreled actions he's gonna be putting out

OK so after looking into it I am torn between buying the hancock production rifle, shoot it as is for a bit and then swap the chassis, or just buying the nucleus barreled action, a trigger and the mpa chassis. The nucleus action is really pretty cool.

I would go the MPA route.....you may want to upgrade the basic stock at some point and add a folding option. I hear there can be long wait times so that's something to consider.

or you could choose your Remington 700 clone action...

add your chassis of choice

add your trigger of choice

and get EXACTLY what you want the first time out

spend more up front, but spend less in the long run trading stuff out

If you are not concerned with production class eligibility then the best of both worlds is a Nucleus barreled action, barloc and barrels setup for what you want to do with it. Then get the MPA chassos you want too.

The MPA chassis isnt used on the Hancock simply due to cost. I talked to Phil about it, he gets it and it doesnt insult either of us that their chassis doesnt fit i to a Hancock. They make a high end product, only so much high end fits into 2 grand.

This is exactly the route I'm going with my build. Nice to see the approach confirmed as a good one.
