Has anyone taken ownership of one of the new MPA Vanquish Rimfire rifles? Planning to purchase one of these soon as I want a config that mimics my centerfire as closely as possible. Curious about the performance you’re getting as well as the balance with the Vanquish chassis.

I got mine in October. The anodizing took almost 2-3 months. I had my order placed as soon as they announced it.

Oh sorry, I just meant the chassis. I don't know about the full rifle setup. I mean the rifle is a Vudoo, so I would expect it to shoot well.

Regarding balance, with the Vanquish, and a lightweight rear, and a 24" 1.2" straight barrel. I'm still running 2 internal weights, and 1 external to get it to 4" from magwell.

Before I installed the weights

I am extremely happy with mine. I have a 25" 1.250 straight contour barrel with the 3 front internal weights (back weight removed). Total weight is around 21 lbs and balances perfectly in the middle of my schmedium bag, maybe 4" or so. I have the light weight competition version of the butt stock.

I was running some extra weights and the gray ops mini plate pro for a match or two, but decided I didn't need either. It's very stable without the plate and the extra weight was... just extra weight (run it if you really want it heavier).

This is exactly what I was looking for. My centerfire rig will compare well to this.

What kind of accuracy are you getting at 50 and 200 yards?

That depends on the rifle and ammo of course... mine is a DI Precision Vudoo 360, shooting Lapua Long Range. I've shot 5 rounds groups in the .1s, 10 round groups in the .3s, at 50. Outdoors at 200... we don't have windless days... but I'd say it's at or under 2 inches.

Ah, I misunderstood. I thought you had a MPA chambered rifle.

On the Vanquish stock. What is the main difference between the standard and the light version? This will be for a rimfire setup but don't plan on using it for PRS or NRL. Also on MPA's video's I see one has a cheek well wheel for adjustment and another doesn't.

That's exactly it. On the full stock the cheek riser and length of pull have wheel knob adjustments. On the light weight they do not, they have set screws. Also on the light weight (I believe) the cheek riser and bag rider are made of a lighter material.

IIRC it's a 17 oz difference between the two.

The comp version is lighter, so PRS style shooting can be done at lower overall weight.

By getting rid of 1lb of weight in the stock you can lighten the "fully built" PRS rifle by 2-4 lbs, depending one exactly where the weight is coming from. The butt pad and cheek riser areas are pretty good places to lighten.

Correct. Different material. Removes weight from the back which prevents the need for more weight at the front in order to achieve balance.

My finished centerfire rig is 22.7 lbs with 2 front chassis weights, 28” barrel, Ckye pod double pull, full magazine of dasher. Balances perfectly. I had expected to have a 25-26lb rifle but the vanquish design kept it lighter.

I just want to know how it 22.7 lb rig floats in the air like that . Got to have one now!
