I got off the phone with barrettthe other day and was told the it would cost $1200-1500 to get a 27" barrel. If the conversions come out under 2,000 I would be ecstatic.

Seems right in line with another platform that is a switch caliber.

.416 isn't going to happen in the MRAD. To support the .50BMG bolt you'd need to scale up the platform significantly. That's generally why you will find either short action platforms that scale up to long action or magnums but not to .50BMG.

Come on Dog....it'd be AWESOME to squeeze in a .416 to that platform as it is now
