multi cam

Re: multi cam

Crye Precision that I've used overseas have held up the longest out of all my sets. SKD comes in at a good second. I have about 10+ sets of various vendors, from Truspec to fire resistant RFI types and they by no means are they as durable and comfortable as the Crye and SKD.

Re: multi cam

I will also second Crye. For me, the Crye is the most comfortable, and also held color the longest. They also held up in theater WAY better than the TRU Spec stuff...

If you are buying it out of pocket, it's pricey...but, it will last you.

Re: multi cam

You can hit up Ebay and find alot of New surplus ACU's in Multicam. alot cheaper and they are the flame resistant ones ( not like the flight suit) and premithrin treated. The pants now have buttons instead of Velcro on the side pockets. Its not bad.

Re: multi cam

sure they are expensive, buy once, cry once and get over it... you will be happy when you are laying in the prone, with your elbow pads in, the fit perfect. oh and by the way- they are more comfy that pj's err... broken in jeans for you big boys out there

Re: multi cam

Crye Precision clothing is far superior to anything else out there with the MultiCam pattern. You will pay, but it is worth every penny. MultiCam is patented by Crye, so everyone that uses it is using Crye's pattern and is paying them royalties.
There are two versions of the Combat pants and shirt, but if you fancy spending less or want something for more utility use, look at their field pants and shirt.
The amount of thought and effort that went into design is apparent. The materials are high quality. The durability is proven.

Re: multi cam

fabric isn't the same, the regular acu cut crye like propper and such stuff is stiffer, doesn't feel as nice as crye. i've done 3 vacay's with my crye and it is still fine color/stitching wise, OH and i was actually DOING stuff in mine, so they have been worked out.
DO IT- you'll be happy you have them!..... feel like wearing pajamas....

Re: multi cam

The problem is in the understanding.

I can order a WIDE array of licensed Crye fabric. One has a totally different feel and use from another.

I have two sets of Multicam BDU's in my closet. One from Propper and one from TruSpec. They have a different feel because they are different fabrics.

I don't know exactly which fabric Crye uses in their combat uniforms. I would love to buy a set, but since I am not fighting in them I can buy a hell of a lot of regular BDU bottoms for that price. Who knows I may get soft and pickup a set for next year's competitions. I will have to see what they look/feel like at SHOT this year.

The ones that started it all? </div></div>

That is the best of the best, and the original. </div></div>

sure, if you want to pay out the ass for it.

Propper or tru spec.

done

This is not a case of "buy once, cry once", because I'm all about that.
There's no reason to sell your first born into slavery because the "original" is
so much better. Because in this case it's not THAT much better.

Is the crye material a little nicer, yep. Is it that much nicer, nope.

They are pants people

If you pay $200 plus shipping instead of $40 plus shipping for damn near
the same thing quite frankly your a retard.

Maybe the propper's I have will wear out before a set of crye's. But I bet that the 5 pairs that I can get instead of one set of crye's will get it done.

This is not like the difference between a Schmidt & Bender scope and a Barska scope.
