Suppressors Multi use supressor question

So I am thinking about a 6.8SPC supressor with the intention of using it on my 5.56 as well. Since I want to be able to use it on a couple different uppers, I am thinking I want to do a QD mount. Then I thought, why couldn't I use this on my hunting rifle too (supressors ARE confirmed legal for hunting here)? I shoot a Thompson Center Icon 6.5 Creedmoor.

I know the caliber will work fine, but what I am wondering is can I have my factory TC Icon barrel threaded and just slip a QD mount on, or do I need to get a new barrel? Either way, can anyone point me in the direction of someone who does this type of work? ...or is this just a bad idea?

You can just get it threaded depending on the contour of the barrel.

I have a 7.62 SS QD suppressor and I had a bolt gun threaded and then put the QD mount on. My ARs are already threaded so I can just put the QD mount on them. I would assume a gunsmith can just thread the TC and you can attach a QD mount to the TC.
I also use my 7.62 suppressor on all calibers less then 7.62.

...although, i believe so as they simply list it as a .277 can
