I'm new and would appreciate some clarification.
When people talk about shooting in the 1/2 min or better, I assume they are using a rear bag.
If so, you have to apply muscular tension with your non shooting hand to hold your point of aim. Likewise, more than once shooters have posted that pulling the rifle hard into their shoulder with their firing hand has given them smaller groups.
This seems to me to be conflicting with what I have understood to be part of the shooting fundamentals posted on this site, namely, bone on bone, no muscular tension so as to maintain NPA.
