Rifle Scopes Muzzle blast on my objective lens.

I am using an AAC SDN-6 for suppression on my R700. Since the ratchet mount is kind of wiggly some of the gas blows from between the brake and the suppressor toward the shooter and more importantly, the objective lens on my SS.

How do I clean it off?

I plan on "tuning" the brake to my suppressor to keep this from happening in the future.

If lens cleaner won’t work I would try a soft pencil eraser.

You could try a lenspen. Maybe wrap the suppressor/brake area with some cloth.

get a lens pen, or go to walmart and get a camera lens cleaning kit that has liquid cleaner and a cloth to clean don't use anything abrasive like an eraser it will scratch lens coatings!

My goal is to not touch the lens with anything given the fact that the blast particulate is kind of like fine, fine sand. I thought about using some 50/50 alcohol and water in a spray bottle. I don't know if it will be strong enough to take it off though.

Thoughts?

Try WD-40.

I use it to clean carbon buildup from the lens of the light on my SBR. Consider applying it before shooting as it limits the adhesion of carbon to glass.

I guess I am showing my ignorance on the issue, but I thought a guy wanted to keep any petroleum based solvents off the lenses in order to protect the coatings. How wrong am I?

You are not. I don't want to use any solvents or objects on the lens unless I absolutely must.

My .02 cents.
Buy a high grade of acetone and fresh q tips. Dip the Q tips in the acetone, shake once to remove excess and starting from the center lightly move the q tip across the face of the lens towards the outside edge- not in a circular motion but straight to the edge. Throw away q tip and get a fresh one and do it again, and again until the lens has nothing but acetone marks on it. Then go around the edge of the glass and clean that area, use many q tips and make sure they are moist but not dripping wet.
To wipe away smears you can either keep working with the acetone or use a NEW lens pen if you are sure the particulates are removed from the lens and all you are is cleaning the smears.

If you're concerned about coatings being susceptible to damage, you can use Eclipse Optic Cleaning fluid and Sensor Swabs or Pec Pads, both made by Photographic Solutions. This is used to clean the image sensor on digital cameras. It works great, dries in about a second, and does not damage sensitive coatings. Very expensive, but it works.

For abrasive residue, you're going to have to use something to wash it off first. A mild solution of car wash detergent (Mothers California Gold), not soap, could be irrigated across the glass to lightly rinse off as much as possible. Then use sensor swabs / pec pads with Eclipse

Irrigate first and use a camera lens brush to loosen particles while the lens is wet. You could set the rifle on the butt and wet the lens. If everything is well with your scope, the liquid will not get into the scope. Tip the rifle to remove the bulk of the liquid, then clean with your favorite lens cleaner.

DISCLAIMER: make sure the rifle is unloaded etc... blah, blah, blah...

The problem with irrigation is that you float the particulates and once floated they can be very abrasive if swished around.
Same with using a camera lens brush.
I am sure these have worked for people and I am not trying to put anyone's ideas down- if it works for you then continue to do it.
I am just sharing what some of the worlds finest manufacturers do to clean their lenses.
IE: S&B, Premier, USO and a few others I believe. I just know these 3 for a fact unless something has changed in the past 2 years.
