How do I decide which size brake to buy? They come in 5/8" and 7/8" with 24 & 28 tpi.

Yes 5/8 will work. I make a 11/16 and 3/4 break for some cases that comes in handy when your doing the larger calibers with the smaller muzzle diameters.
