I finally finished the 10/22...for now. Besides...the wife will kill me if I spend any more on it. And I am considering modifying my Cricket for my five year old as well....(Thanks for putting the idea in my head OFIS!)
Started life as a standard carbine, with the following additions:

Green Mountian 20" barrel .920"
VQ Trigger
VQ Match Hammer (Kit brings trigger pull to verified 2.25#)
Power Customs Safety (yet to install...)
Hogue NYLON overmolded stock (good enough for now....)
Caldwell bi-pod 6"x9"
Rimfire Tech Helical fluted bolt handle
Rimfire Tech Black Widow bolt buffer
Rimfire Tech Adjustable "V" Block
Rimfire Tech Stage 1 bedding kit
Rimfire Tech "V" Block Machined screws
Karsten adjustable cheekpiece
Nikon Buckmasters 3x9x40 scope
EGW 20moa extended rail
Weaver Tactical rings

Here's the build, and brake-in pics from today.

And here are the Targets. The first was the initial firing of the barrel. I counted 27 rounds before it actually started to group. After that, the crappy ammo even cycled and grouped relatively well at 100 yards where I sighted it in.

I ordered some Wolf Target Match, and some CCI today as well. Wonder if I am going to get lucky with it liking cheaper food...not saying that it is too expensive.

Nice groups. My friends green mtn. barrel shoots about the same as yours, very good. Now get some real ammo and give it a try. The consistency is what will shrink your groups. Bulk ammo will limit you. Eley Tenex, Lapua center-x, and midas, RWS, and Wolf are all VERY good in many different rifles.

Should I be worried about leading? Plated vs non plated? I figure i'll try and try, then attempt 200. I have a little trigger return issue to deal with this evening.

Re: My first 10/22 .22lr build...holy moley.

wow, i'd budget in another brick of the super X's, at 100 yards that is freakin outstanding. if it's doing that well i'd actually stick with them. but again, give the wolf a shot and see how the relatively cheaper super X's group in comparison at 100 yards or further.

the plating is so light on .22's i wouldn't worry too much about it. it's more of a "wash" coating than a jacketing.

again great group with the super X!

Re: My first 10/22 .22lr build...holy moley.

Thanks. Best group of the day, even though I was only able to spend about an hour at the range. I actually am pleasantly suprised and excited about this project. I was amazed that the first dozen I sent downrange were all over the place. Mostly still wind, if only a light breeze. The barrel broke in FAST. I found myself going "I know I was aimed at the center target on paper....(and laughing at myself)" for the first few shots, because they were all over. The sight-in on the target looked horrible.
Just for kicks, I grabbed another sleeve of the Super-X. I am going to put it to the test once my order comes in.

Northwest of Houston by 30 minutes, Conroe/Spring area. And anytime. I cant wait to see what this thing does with some good food. Headin out with the SPS tomorow for 2-300yd paper punching.

Shot the CCI and Winchester, It shot good, but the Wolf MT will really shoot. It takes 50 rnds or so to get it seasoned with whatever they put on the Wolf but it does really well after that. Nice looking rifle also. Good Luck..

Any .22 barrel that leads up with anything besides thunderturds never was worth spit.
Best accuracy is usually with waxed SV ammo, which describes all match ammo.
Copper washed/plated is all HV, and is USUALLY less accurate, though often adequate for many tasks.
