Today I completed my first AR build. First off I will say I am stoked to shoot it. It has taken me since Feburary to gather parts and complete it.
It consists of a Aero Precision lower with DPMS LPK. For the butt stock I went with the VLTOR Modstock (IMOD). I also have a MAGPUL BAD lever and this is the first time I have used it so I am still unsure of the good/bad with it. The upper is a YHM flat top, Les Bear bolt with DPMS internals. Handguard is the YHM smooth/quad rail. The barrel is WOA 18 inch SPR and the brake is a YHM phantom. The sights are MAGPUL MBUS
My main goal for this build was to build a lower cost gun that will shoot lights out. My main focus has been the barrel. I have read many places that the WOA barrels are pretty sweet. It also doesnt hurt that they are made 5 minutes from my old home town. The purpose is going to be hunting, attacking those evil paper targets and hopefully 3 gun matches down the road.
Before I post the must needed pictures I want to say something about White Oak Armament. I called about wait times and was told 6 weeks. This was better than what I have read places, most saying 20 weeks. I called them a week after placing the order to ensure I ordered M4 feed ramps and the lady had remembered my name but couldnt remember why. We got of the phone and not 2 minutes later she called back to tell me that my barrel was ready to ship. She had remembered that she tried to call me and tell me this but no answer on my end. She was very nice and helpful. This has been my fisrt experence with a gun builder/barrel maker/small company and I am impressed. Their CS is top notch in my book. It also doesnt hurt I got my barrel 2 weeks after I ordered
