A gunsmith I know is building me my first custom rifle soon. It is going to be built off of a K98 action.
I was thinking of having it chambered for a .308, or some other caliber that I can shoot alot, and not burn out the barrel to fast. and I wanted to hear some peoples ideas about what I should have done to it based on there experience. Barrel Length, size, stock options, or anything else you have that you want to share. I am new to this, and want advice.
I shoot all over Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Michigan, and recently have gotten the long range shooting bug. I plan on using this rifle for target shooting at longer ranges in the desert using my Jeep hood as a rest, and hunting at closer range. Thanks.
