Hunting & Fishing My first Coyote!

Im in Louisiana and mostly pig/deer hunt. I rarely see coyotes but I spotted one on my property at 8am in the morning. Grabbed my (Go to rifle) in 308 and the 168SMK made short work of it! This is the first time I ever had to hurry and make a shot. When I saw it, I ran about 40yds to my house, grabbed the rifle and was dialing for 300yds

as I was running back to my shooting position. Ive memorized the dope for this rifle and today it paid off!

Just bought a FoxPro myself to have something to hunt in the spring/summer and first time out called one in but the Yote busted me with a slight crosswind.

You can fool their ears and eyes but NEVER their nose. Watch your down wind . They will circle down wind to I.D. you.

Lol I never shot anything living with the 50. Dead hogs? Why hell yes lol. I do alot of eradication for farmers, and on some of the land the farmers want me to get rid of the hog carcasses. So in the name of science I have used some stuff and swollen hogs to test 50bmg terminal performance. Believe it or not, we weren't impressed. But we were using ball ammo and APIT ammo
