Wanted to share my results to date of my venture into rifle building. I have done only 6.5 Creedmoors thus far, the first two for myself and two for friends of mine (at no charge). All work is done exclusively by yours truly. All groups posted are shot with boxed 140 ELD-m Hornady and yes are three shot groups.

My first build.

Trued 700
Bartlein 1:8 medium palma @ 22"
KRG X-ray
Jewell HVR. [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"http:\/\/i68.tinypic.com\/15rnt68.jpg"}[/IMG2]

MOA should read 0.196 [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"http:\/\/i64.tinypic.com\/112e8eg.jpg"}[/IMG2]

.226 MOA [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"http:\/\/i66.tinypic.com\/2eqdveo.jpg"}[/IMG2]

Number Four. This one I'm especially proud of. I did it for a buddy of mine who is new to the sport. He had a RPR that was an absolute laser but wasn't crazy about the feel of the stock and wanted a "custom". He doesn't have a safe full of guns like a lot of us do. This is the only rifle he owns that he didn't inherit from his Dad who he lost a few years back. I've done a time lapse of the whole build for him so far and embedded it below.

Trued 700
X-caliber 6 groove 1:8 Sendero @ 22", did a blended thread protector for him-see video.
KRG X-Ray
Jewell HVR [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"http:\/\/i64.tinypic.com\/aoq745.jpg"}[/IMG2]

0.376 MOA. Not bad for a $200 barrel. [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"http:\/\/i63.tinypic.com\/10ct002.jpg"}[/IMG2]

Very very nice man! What are you using to etch the caliber on the barrels? Thanks

Hammer and chisel lol. Just kidding. Google "electrolytic etching". You make a negative stencil using a vinyl die cutter and apply a current with an electrolyte solution and it etches the exposed metal.

Im getting ready to do my first cerakote on that last rifle. I'll post pics.

Update on my last build. Delivered it earlier tonight. My buddy lost his dad a few years ago and one of his favorite things was sailing, so he asked me if I could incorporate an anchor somewhere on the rifle. Father's Day is a little tough so I wanted to get this to him to cheer him up a bit. I put the anchor on the bolt knob so every time he ran the gun he could think of his dad. Enjoy!
