Nice job-would like to hear more about shot placement and cast bullet performance. Shot a lot of 180 WFN over Blue Dot in a 6” GP100 with very good accuracy, but never managed to tag a deer with it.

First shot centered the shoulder and I could see it was broken as the deer ran off. I fully expected it to be dead when I came over the ridge it had run to. When I got there, the deer was bedded but far from dead. He took off again and it took me 30 minutes or so to work my way into another shooting position. This shot was quartering away as the buck was bedded. At the shot, he left over backwards out of his bed and that was it. Upon quartering I found the first shot had indeed centered the shoulder but before entering the chest cavity it turned straight down and went into the brisket. It certainly wasn't a fatal shot! The other shot entered behind the last rib and traveled through the vitals and ended up at the base of the neck.
