He made a box that fits two garbage cans side by side and attempted to anchor it to the ground. Needless to say, he underestimated the strength of these bruins.. Kinda comical watching him patroling his litter from around the yard after the bears have their fill, this happens at least 2x per week.. Its just so much easier to keep the cans in the garage..

Keeping the cans in the garage doesn't always work. I was awaken in the early morning hours on day by someone yelling. My neighbor was on his 2nd story balcony yelling at a bear that was attempting to break in the side door of his garage. The bear had broken the glass out already when I got to my deck and proceeded to shoot it with a wrist rocket. The bear did leave at that point. We didn't know until later that day that it had gone down the road and destroyed another neighbors shed where his trash cans were.
Two solutions for problem bears, have game and fish come trap or remove the bear, or eliminate it yourself since it was aggressive towards you or your family.
