I recently purchased a Win 52C HB target. I have had many of the C's over the years, and quite a few sporters and Standard wt target rifles I still shoot.
Anyway, this rifle is about 100% in and out on the metal and about 98% on the wood, with no wear but a few small nicks. Bore looks unfired with bore scope.
I pulled it out of the stock and de greased the trigger which was not so smooth due to hardened oil. Adjusted it, mounted a 20x Unertl and put it on paper at 25 yards. Backed up to 100 and shot prone with sling and forward hand rest. Zeroed to 100 with Eley 10X and first 5 shot group was the best one I have ever had with a rimfire at 100 yards. Well under MOA. It was getting dark and I did not shoot more. Now I am excited to get some more shooting in. Love those old Win 52's.
