I have toyed with the idea of this caliber for a bit and finally took the plunge. Built it on a rem 700 action that was trued up. Went with a Holland lug and a 9 twist kreiger barrel threw a Calvin elite custom trigger krg whiskey 3 chassis and a Zeus pro 100. I am very happy with the results of running 75gr vmax backed by h4350. Until last night I had not recorded a miss. Now in my defense the miss was at 603 yards and I had already poked a hole in his buddy. Pelt damage is minimal if at all with only 2 exits. If you are looking for a Lazer beam for 500 and under I urge you to give it a try.

I love 6mm's for putting down coyotes. Not the most fur friendly, but it sure makes a hell of a smack.

Roughly 28"@ 500 with 100 yard zero. 0-350 hold fur it's dead.

Yes from what I can tell it delivers all it's energy into the body and doesn't exit if at all and if it does. The exit is very small.

Dug the dog dropper for a few stands. 6mm Remington running 87 vmax around 3400 topped with a flir pts 536.

A 284 has quite a bit more case compasity than the Creed case. Also running a 29" barrel helps and I'm running it hard on the brink of over pressure.

52.5 in the Creed vs 68.33 h2o in the 284.

I've been switching back and forth between the 6-284 and 6mm rem. Even pulled off a 450 yard shot with the 6mm rem.

I tried them and had them around 3750-3800fps but had major pressure signs. Like had to beat the bolt open with my hand. Maybe if I tried a different powder but I was set on using h4350.

I'm guessing around 1000 but barrels are like tires. Same reason I bought a reamer.
