Well after theoretically stealing this from JasonK and having strictlyRUM do the work on it, here she is. Once you have seen a M2008 you seen em all, but this one is mine. Here are the specs. Jason Perry (strictlyRUM) does phenomanal work. I would definitely recommend him to everyone. He is top notch and he works very quick. Thanks Jason and Jason

I'm such a nice guy....or a fool!

Have fun with her, tell her I miss her and be sure to give me first dibs should you two ever part ways....the rifle Deadly, not the wife.

It's a great rifle and it'll definitely hold up its end of the deal.

Shoot straight.

might I suggest a spigot mount with that ATLAS bipod? It helps the balance a lot

thanks, i definitely agree with you on that one. But i have the BT10 and it cant attach to the spigot mount. I would love one, but dont want to have to sell this pod to get the on that can accept the spigot. I would love one though

Re: My new Badger

deadly,

I know I'll make noise, whether I can actually hit anything is another matter entirely. My old school smoke pole is about ready, only thing left is to bed the bottom metal, reliability check my mags, and then off to the range again for some trigger time.

I found my Eagle shooter's vest collecting dust in the closet. Thank goodness it has adjustable straps, I had to let it out a might since I last wore it

Maybe John will have mercy on us.....Naw, probably not

Re: My new Badger

Yeah but it's only 25" long. Go with a 28" MTU which is what real men use

Nice looking rifle Deadly.

Re: My new Badger

Pffffft, my little 25 incher is cranking out 140's @ over 2900 fps...

Re: My new Badger

Wow, very nice!! I think the Badger action is probably the sexiest action out there!!

Deadly, I see both you and diggler1833 are both in Jacksonville. When I am home I am in spring lake about 100 miles west of you. There aren't any good ranges up here. Where do you guys shoot?? I would really like to find a good range with good people if at all possible.

Re: My new Badger

well i just returned from the range and i only had time to sling 30 rounds, 15 of those were to get my zero purrty good. Then some rapid fire at 100. then moved it back to 200 for my last ten rounds. The gun is a damn laser. this group is a 5 shot group measured .659 center to center, with 308 subtracted turned into .351 needless to say i am more than pleased. If any of you ever need quick top notch work done, dont count out the smaller guys. Jason Perry (strictlyRUM) does phenomanal work.

Shouldn't you measure the total group size if you are going to subtract the .308?

i honestly have no idea, this is the first 30 rounds i put through the new tube. Id like to think so, with a little time behind it

Re: My new Badger

Bad ass shooter you have there deadly. 2 questions:

1. How do you like that glass?
2. This is the rifle you were talking about, scrapping the AFAR rail and going with the spigot?

Re: My new Badger

Guys, im gonna throw this out there, call it what you want.

Jason Perry aka strictlyRUm does great work. If you havent had a chance to see any of his work, well here it is. Jason is the only smith i will use from now on. Thats not to say that any of the others are bad. The thing i like most about Jason is how personal and caring about what you want. He also is a great guy in general. Im still in shock that the work he did only took a week. Chamber, thread, install, blended thread cap. A week, this is a month or so venture at best with the big name guys. Dont get me wrong they do great work as well. But its not the smith part that has made me a lifetime customer of Jason's its how he conducts himself and the genuine concern he has about pleasing his customer. Shoot him a pm if you ever need work, just because he doesnt have a mainstream household company name dont mean he cant turn out some serious sticks. Ill get off the box now and finish it out with saying thanks to Jason for the work he did and everything else that he did for me.

PH 5-25 is great, dont know why some are looking negatively on it? In my opinion the most negativity is coming from guys who have never used it. If you have the coin to drop on one, id do it again.

and to answer your second question Mike yes this is the rifle i am scraping the AFAR rail for the spigot mount
