This is the "one and only" Kelbly/Swindlehurst chrome-moly action ever made. Greg Walley made the action, hand-lapped the bolt to the receiver, and fitted the Krieger #5 chrome-moly 1-16” barrel a few years ago. The barreled action is high polished and deep-blued, with a polished stainless steel bolt handle and bolt shroud, jeweled bolt body, polished and blues steel trigger guard, and Kelbly BR trigger. The stock is fancy grade English Walnut. The walnut blank came from a tree that was felled at the Black Diamond Walnut Farm in California. The stock was hand-made, bedded (screw-in/pillars) and hand-finished in semi-gloss oil by the late John Maxon. It is shaped similar to an old Sako Varminter with a beavertail fore-end. Included is a Unertl 20x 1-1/2” Target scope in excellent condition with the original instructions. [h=3]Details[/h]
  • Barrel - Krieger
  • Action - Kelbly Stolle Swindlehurst
  • Gunsmith - Greg Walley
  • Trigger - Kelbly
  • Stock - English Walnut
  • Stockmaker - John Maxon (ACGG) (Deceased)

In reference to what happened to your original post, unless you're offering this beauty up for sale then it's in the wrong forum area so it was probably moved to the rimfire area.

bogeybrown, it was one of those interweb finds, bought it directly from Greg Walley, a very nice fella to visit with / deal with.

tnichols, I don't believe this one will get that far. I have others to take to the woods...... you know, junk like Anschutz, Winchester 52's, Remington 40x's.

Tucker301, sorry for putting a his in the wrong location. I will readily admit to being computer "STUPID".

Thanx all, Bob.

I love English walnut - not that figured claro isn't attractive, but just have this thing about English... Always looked forward to the next issue of Precision Shooting, even after the quality of written articles dropped off - there were some gorgeous chunks of English walnut on the cover from time-to-time. Your rifle would've been an excellent subject for their covers...
