Just got my F1 with Np-RF1 reticle. I originally purchased a US Optics TPAL 3-17x44.

I cancelled my purchse becuase BJ at 3rd Gen Shooting Supply was selling this lightly used F1 for almost $1,000 dollars cheaper than what I was paying for the USO. I paid $1900 shipped for the F1 and it came with rings. The USO was $2740 without rings.

I was nervous as to whether I made the right choice but after receiving my F1 I'm completely satisfied. This thing looks brand new, not a single ding or scratch. There's not even a hint of ring marks. I love the feel, the look, the clarity of the glass, and the positive turrets.

I have had the oppertunity to look through some nice glass and even though the F1 is not an S&B it is extremely clear. I feel for a work/Tactical rifle this scope will serve me very well. For the money I don't think you can beat NF.

Also, BJ was excellent to work with. Called him up and it was a done deal. Shipped it out the same day and had comformation email within minutes after ordering. He is GTG, and seems like a cool guy.

My view may change once it's on the gun but I doubt it.

Yeah sorry, I hate when others do that. Just wanted to share my experience working with B.J. at 3rd Gen.

I don't really have a camera that I could take pics with that would do the scope justice. I just wanted to post this up to help others make an informative decision if they were debating on the same scope.

Mason at CS Tactical let me peek through one of those NPRF-1's the other day, that reticle is very well designed. I took my new F1MLR-2 out today and I agree, the F1's are hard to beat. So far I really like mine.

The F1's are great scopes and the introduction of the new reticles took away some of the complaints with them. As soon as I can send mine in for an update to the MLR2 from the original MLR, it will be going in.
