Here is a couple of pics of my Rem action in the new Choate Tactical stock. I thought I would keep the stock in factory condition for the first set of pictures, but Krylon is soon to come. I also threw in a little pool porn for all the ladies....

For a couple hundred bucks I think she is starting to look pretty damn good.

For more info on these stocks, check out my site.

Re: My new Rem Stock

This is for the BDL model. The HS Precision or Badger Detachable Mag system would work with this.

I am not sure if the Remington factory detach mag is different than the BDL. Can anyone answer that question?

Re: My new Rem Stock

I was messing around the other day, and I mounted an Osprey scope I had laying around. Here is a look:

It's also sporting a Karsten cheek rest. I had to remove the rear swivel stud to mount the cheek rest. I will probably relocate it later.

I am very interested to see how the gun shoots in the stock, and how the scope performs as well. Once I decide on my scope choice she'll get hit with some Krylon.

I am not much of a photographer, but let me know what you boys think...

Re: My new Rem Stock

i think it is a vast improvment on their older designs they were just crap let us know the costs will they make a long action and any sporter models on the same desighn i need one for a rem 700 in 470 Capstick.

I think B&C will survive...easily...

I think the studs are located on the wrong side for a right hand bolt. Who wants to strap a gun across their back and have the bolt knob digging into them??? Not I. I think it would be better served on the opposite side where the rifle could lay flat...

Re: My new Rem Stock

The studs are on both sides.

There are no current plans to make this in a long action or a sporter model that I know of. I took me a few months to convince Fred Choate to make one for the Remington.

I am hoping to get to the range tomorrow. I'll give a full report if I go.

Re: My new Rem Stock

at least maybe these guys could get the bedding block in square... something B&C still has not seemed to alleviate, lol.

Some of us are addicted to long actions, so I guess i'll have to wait and see if that ever comes down the pike. Otherwise, i'll keep my HS and continue to look for just the right MCM or manners for my other builds.
