After lots of begging and pleading...plus a huge wad of cash, I was able to get flatland1 to sell me this and drove 5 hours each way yesterday to pick it up. Beautiful drive through western Kansas farm and ranch land. Beautiful day after they had received a foot of snow a week ago. He becomes attached to rifles and made me feel guilty like I had stolen his dog or something but a deal is a deal.
Its a Stiller 2500XR action in a Manners T4A Elite stock in molded camo. Kreiger 24" barrel threaded for my SWR gen I Specter suppressor. Has a Jewel trigger that feels even better than My Calvin Elites, which I really like, set at a pound. Mounted my Nightforce SHV F1 on it this morning but it's 3:30 am so not quite light enough to go sight it in. Love the weight. Nearly same as my centerfire rifles. Got to shoot it a little yesterday when I picked it up. We shot some steel at 100 yards and was really pleased at how it performed. Flatland1 had a Cronus scope on it, which he is a dealer for, and it gave me a chance to get behind a Athlon for the first time. Love the reticle. Reminds me of Nightforce's new mil-c but with a Christmas tree for holds.
This is the second rifle I've owned that Dennis has built and am very pleased with his work. At last, after enjoying a couple of hours of pleasant conversations and company of Dennis and his Boarder Collie/Aussie Bea, it was time to trek back east to my side of the state of Kansas. Great day! Thanks to Dennis of Flatland Accuracy.
