After lots of begging and pleading...plus a huge wad of cash, I was able to get flatland1 to sell me this and drove 5 hours each way yesterday to pick it up. Beautiful drive through western Kansas farm and ranch land. Beautiful day after they had received a foot of snow a week ago. He becomes attached to rifles and made me feel guilty like I had stolen his dog or something but a deal is a deal;).
Its a Stiller 2500XR action in a Manners T4A Elite stock in molded camo. Kreiger 24" barrel threaded for my SWR gen I Specter suppressor. Has a Jewel trigger that feels even better than My Calvin Elites, which I really like, set at a pound. Mounted my Nightforce SHV F1 on it this morning but it's 3:30 am so not quite light enough to go sight it in. Love the weight. Nearly same as my centerfire rifles. Got to shoot it a little yesterday when I picked it up. We shot some steel at 100 yards and was really pleased at how it performed. Flatland1 had a Cronus scope on it, which he is a dealer for, and it gave me a chance to get behind a Athlon for the first time. Love the reticle. Reminds me of Nightforce's new mil-c but with a Christmas tree for holds.
This is the second rifle I've owned that Dennis has built and am very pleased with his work. At last, after enjoying a couple of hours of pleasant conversations and company of Dennis and his Boarder Collie/Aussie Bea, it was time to trek back east to my side of the state of Kansas. Great day! Thanks to Dennis of Flatland Accuracy.

Glad you're not having 'buyer's remorse' yet over the rifle purchase Lloyd! I knew I'd priced the Stiller too low when you agreed to buy it w/o any price haggling...lol. I thought both my 22RF trainers were good shooters, but when you laid down on the mat & commenced to whacking the 3" gong w/o a miss - even with that breeze - it occurred to me that you were shooting both my rifles better than I do. Kinda glad Ben didn't show up early enough to see that - he'd still be giving me grief about it. BTW - we got his Bighorn bbl'd action & DBM CK'd in tungsten & the parts hung in the oven just before he got called on an outage again. He came back over around 5pm to collect his freshly baked parts so he could put the rifle back together.

Just finished the Lilja tite bore 22RF bbl for my other 40X yesterday. Am going out to the shop to dial-in & start in on a Krieger 22RF blank for the same rifle as soon as I get off the 'puter. Looking forward to doing some testing with both bbl's before sending it off to jelrod1 for the repeater conversion. If nothing else, that will point out whether I need to order in some more samples of test lots, or if either or both bbls will shoot the ammo I already have on hand. Would really enjoy taking both 40Xs out to Lapua's indoor range in Az, but that's not gonna happen this time of year - time to get spring crop planted.

That is a seriously lovely piece of work. Would be perfect for those pesky long range rimfire PRS matches. Flatland1 should PM me with the price to duplicate that puppy perhaps with a Shilien Ratchet bbl? My Sav Mkii shoots fine but I suspect that I am bumping into the limits of its accuracy potential, lol.

Dennis why would you sell that to Lloyd when we can't stay ahead of him now. If I'd known this was in the works I would have bought it just to keep things even. It is a fine rifle!

I'll admit it was kinda irresponsible to sell him the Stiller 2500XR, knowing how he's spanked all of us on Greg's 'on the wall' match at the monthly PR Match at Hutch with the AI-Bighorn 260 Rem he had me build for him. But I really did need to sell it to justify the 2nd repeater conversion of my last CMP 40XB - and I knew it was going to a good home. Besides, what's that they say about shooting to the level of your competition? Knowing how well Lloyd's gonna be shooting that rifle is motivation for me to get out & practice with my 40X repeaters...lol. And if you're really worried about leveling the playing field, I might could be cajoled into building another repeater on the Stiller platform...(shameless plug for another build job). I've got two more Krieger sendero contour 22rf blanks coming, and Stiller's got a few more 2500XR actions in stock. Getting another Manners Elite shell stock would almost certainly require a wait of 6+ months. OTOH, Wade at B&C has #2095 stocks available on a week's notice that will work very well with the Stiller action - that's what I have my 1st 40X repeater in - it weighs only 1/2lb more than the Manners Elite, and costs less than half as much.

Well thanks for bragging me up guys but it's a new season and I'm getting older and have even more aches and pains.
Id like to show you the itty bitty groups it shoots but I haven't been able to shoot this beauty yet. Probably just be a safe queen ;)
