My new toy.

Savage 10 BAS/K .308
Nightforce 3.5-15X50 NPR1 scope
Nightforce unimount
Harris bipod

Re: My new toy.

I havent got to shoot it yet (girlfriend wont let me shoot it in the house) but from just holding it, its feels like a heavy AR. If you were going to spend much time shooting it from an unsupported position, I'd think you want to add some weight to the stock to balance it a little better.

Rifle was $1645 with shipping from impactguns.com
Scope was $1710 from a local gun store
Scope mount was $265
Bipod was $85

Re: My new toy.

Just picked one up myself to play with.

The stock itself isnt bad from the rear of action forward.
If it had a PRS Magpul on it, it would be complete.
Mag release is a little odd, but works great, mag sets good.
Scope base is a little too much, would have rather had a typical base with the forward rail attached to the stock.

Overall, not bad, really like the main section of the stock. Seems well built and put together.
Fit and finish looks good as well.

Re: My new toy.

How is the feel from the prone position with so little weight in the rear of the stock, is the balance still there or does it feel like it's trying to fall away from you with the majority of the weight forward?

Re: My new toy.

Anyone have one of these jewels with a Magpul PRS on it...any pics out there?

The flimsy AR stock looks to be the ONLY weak link from a NICE factory rifle!

The entire stock is described as modular, sort of a factory McRees type stock, any news on any 'options' coming down the pipe?
