I posted a couple months or so ago about some problems with my Heritage 5-25. I got one of the first ones out that I know of. It wouldn't hold a tight group and seemed to have a little tracking trouble. I sent it out for repair and they had it for a little over a week as I recall. Upon receipt I didn't test it I just zeroed it and shot a match with it. It seemed to work perfectly at the match and I was happy with it. Then I thought I'd do a quick tracking test anyway just to see how it would perform. Not a real box test just a quick check.
I went out for a quick practice session at a local 100 yard range this morning. I shot off of a concrete bench with a cloth sock sand bag for rear support and my Harris bipod for the front. This was with my .243 that I rebarelled myself recently.
Shot the first group for a "cold shooter" test. Not so great but OK.
Then I decided to check the tracking. I held on the thumbtack in the lower left corner of the target and scaled the location of one of the 1" dots on the lower row. I forget the number exactly it was somewhere around 2 mils high and 2.7 right I think. For the purposes of the photo I circled the location of the thumbtack in the lower left corner. Then I fired 3 shots while holding tight on the thumbtack. All three went into the 1" dot.
Here's a closer look at that group.
Then I returned it to zero and shot three more...
I only shot three round groups for this because I was in a hurry. I normally like to shoot five for accuracy tests and load development to get a better idea of consistency but for this purpose I think it was fine.
Premier had a very quick turn around on this scope so I was happy with that. I dragged my ass in getting shipped out to them, then didn't have time to really test it out after I got it back. I was slow on my end but they were very quick. I know I could have done a better or more thorough tracking test with lots of dots and lots of ammo but I'm happy with this and completely confident with it. I think it's the best scope I've ever owned I couldn't be happier.
