Nanook or anti X?

Looking for a lightweight action for my next build, I think I’ve got it narrowed down between the Nanook and anTiX. I’ve never shot either of those exact actions but I’ve liked Defiance and Kelbly actions in the past. Will be in a MDT HNT26 long action, 7prc build. I’d love to hear yalls personal experiences with those actions or any that I might be overlooking.

Just to clarify this will primarily be my pack hunting rifle. I’m sure I’ll try to ring some long steel with it at some point but I have other heavier rifles more suited to that purpose.

I've considered buying both those actions, the Atlas lite, or the Mack Bro's Element action for a while. Back when the Anti was $900. After the Anti(or AntiX) went to something like $1500 that ship sailed for me. And there doesn't seem to be any real practical difference in a Nanook and the Atlas Lite. But last month I saw the Mack Bro's Element action. Steel, fully nitrided, 21oz, $900. I really don't understand why someone would pay $1500 for an Anti X vs a Mack Bro's Element. When I asked the Defiance guy that exact question on another thread he talked about esoteric things. He used a Japanese wooden box as an analogy about craftsmanship. No shit. Like Mack Bro's was filing actions by hand with a harbor freight hand file and Defiance was the only company that knew how to use a CNC machine.

Today, I would be trying to decide between the Atlas lite vs the Mack Bro's Element.

Interesting, I hadn’t really looked at the Mack Bros. Honestly I’d overlooked the atlas lite just because the nanook looks better to me, but I should probably reevaluate that vs the cost.

I agree that a Nanook looks "swoopy" over an Atlas Lite but I don't think there's a hill of beans difference between the the two.

Anything Kelbly's gets my vote! But probably hard to go wrong with any of your choices.

I wouldn't worry too much about cost. If you shoot a lot the action quickly becomes one of the "cheapest" components.
