(NC) Juniper Swamp Tactical Match dates 2011

Shooters,
The rest of 2011 the Juniper Swamp Tactical Match has been moved to Butner NC. At the National Guard Training Center. We have to do this because of the crops that are being grown at the Fremont location.

The match is held on the following dates in 2011
12 March 2011
9 July 2011
27 Aug 2011
29 Oct 2011

<span style="font-weight: bold">What does this change? </span>
Well a lot to be honest. We do not have the ability to shoot across a farm and we lost the ability to use props like the roof top simulator and shooting off the conex top and stuff like that.

<span style="font-weight: bold">What do we gain?</span>
Well a lot again. The range we will use is range 10. It goes out to 1200m. It is a computer controlled POP-UP range. So your targets are unknown distance and will just pop-up in your lane. You have X amount of time to hit them. There is no 10 ring, just hit miss.

So we think this is a hell of a good tradeoff for what we lost. But we will hold more at Fremont as soon as we can to give the different venue for your training.

I'm definitely in for the July and Oct matches. I signed up but didn't get an email. Did I screw up ? Really looking forward to it.

Is there anything that us local guys can do to help out ? Setup ? Tear down?

I didn't find anywhere you had posted about the $ shoot. If your going to hold one, I know there would be 7-8+ of us that would be interested! Please advise.

I am in for all 3 and will attend the ranging class as I always need a refresher.

If you have not shot one of the JST matches they are worth the drive/time!!!!!

I just got an update from Butner, we will shoot pop-ups to 1000yds and the movers now work fine.

so we will use them as well.
