I hope not, because the only maintenance I do regarding length is to trim, or retire, my brass when its overall case length exceeds the maximum recommended length.
The only thing I can think of that would make a significant difference would be if you're deburring and chamfering your flash holes AND have a tool that indexes off of the case neck.
Then you'd want to make sure they are all uniform length. But you'd only need to do that once for each case.
Just make sure you're checking for them exceeding overall case length after each reload...otherwise you might be in for a nasty surprise.
Uniform neck length helps you to gauge how hot your load is. If your brass is growing .015" after every firing vs .007", your load may be a wee bit too hot.
