What would be the ballstic differences of 308 with varying neck tensions?
For example. .002
.003
.004
.005
Other than set back while chambering and pressure with too much tension. Wondering if anyone has documented the results of FPS,deviation, and accuracy. Maybe I should quit dreaming about this crap and just be happy with my accurate rounds.

I think you hit the nail on the head right there. For what it is worth, I have only seen a loss in accuracy when neck tension gets up to the .004" range and tighter. Sometimes the loss in accuracy can be big time, I have seen it make a 1 moa difference. Now that being said I dont think you will see much of an increase in MV with the extra tension. I like to run my rounds from .0015"-.002" but this is just me shooting bolt guns.

jbell, I also load to .002, .003 at the most depending on the brass mfg. Guess retirement has it's drawbacks. I will probably load some military pulled 147gr bullets with brass that is on it's last loading and test the differences.

Thanks for the reply.
